Royalty celebrates Canada Day with Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana

Her Excellency Rev. Dr. Princess Ocansey has presented a ‘PEACE CAKE’ to The Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Christopher Thornley  at a colorful ceremony held by the Canadian Embassy to celebrate ‘CANADA DAY’ at the official residence of the commissioner last Tuesday.

The presentation of the ‘PEACE CAKE’ symbolized the bilateral relation between Ghana and Canada as well as the effort to promote peace and foster unity among the two countries which is also in line with Her Excellency Princess Ocansey’s new project dubbed ‘GHANADA’(Ghana-Canada) with the tagline #SWEETERTOGETHER.

This project has the sole aim of spreading peace through ‘sweetness’ and stands on the backbone of the essence of interdependence among countries.

H.E. Christopher Thornley and his wife Ms. Catherine Thornley expressed excitement and profound gratitude to Dr. Ocansey for the gift and assured her of stronger relations between the two countries.

The Canadian High Commission over the week organized a cocktail party to celebrate Canada Day which is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, an enactment of the British North America Act, 1867 Constitution Act, 1867, which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire.

Also in attendance with Her Excellency was Rev. Patrick Arthur, President of Channels United Pastors who are currently engaged in a missionary exchange program with Canada.

Her Excellency Rev. Dr. Princess Ocansey is a member of the Ocansey royal family of Ada, a migration expert, Global Peace Ambassador, Professional Engineer, World Renowned Philanthropist And a Business Woman. She is the chairperson of the Nekotech Center of Excellence in Ada, CEO of Channels Of Blessings Global Ministry and Transfer2Transform (a charitable organization in British Columbia Canada) and the CEO of SOS Labour Ghana Ltd, an award winning international job placement agency in Ghana/Canada.

Her Excellency’s humanitarian works has had many recognitions and acclamations all over the world including the white house and the United Nations (UN).
