Mr De-graft Fokuo, District Chief Executive for Asante Akim South,  has advised candidates writing this year’s BECE in the district, to work hard and resist the temptation to involve themselves in any form of examination malpractices.

[contextly_sidebar id=”se4Rc6Ja9drG2O20MOaXVto7bottSjKK”]Speaking to the 429 candidates who are taking the exam at the Juaso Senior High School during a tour of some examination centres, Mr Fokuo urged them to remain focused, in order not to ruin their future.

The DCE stated that success in BECE would mark the beginning of a brighter future for them,  and they should do their best to pass well to further continue their education.

A total of 2,450 candidates,  consisting of  1,383 males and 1,067 females, are writing the examinations in the district.

The candidates who are from 65 private and public Junior High Schools (JHS), are sitting for the examinations at nine centres across the district.

Mr. Kofi Dwomoh, Examination Co-ordinator at the District Education Office, who briefed the Ghana News Agency (GNA),  said all materials for the examinations had been successfully conveyed to the various centres.

He said the examinations would be supervised by 104 officials, made up of 87 invigilators, nine supervisors, and eight assistant supervisors.

He was hopeful that the candidates would comport themselves to ensure  incident-free examinations in the district.
