22-year-old KNUST student wins Kwabre East

A 22- year-old second year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has been elected the Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kwabre East constituency.

Francisca Oteng-Mensah, a law student beat incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Kofi Frimpong by polling 321 votes.

Kofi Frimpong secured 187 votes while two other aspirants, Lawyer Osei-Poku and K. Adjei-Sefa polled 202 and 33 votes respectively.

Mr. Frimpong has been in Parliament since 2004.
