Richard Anane fails to retain Nhyaeiso seat

Incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti Region, Richard Anane has lost his seat to Kennedy Kankam Boadu.

Kankam Boadu,who once served as the party’s regional organizer polled 242 votes as against his contender who attracted only 110 votes.

Aside Kankam, Anane had to battle with Kwaku Appiah Menka and Stephen Amoah, a youth activist of the party.

One of the aspirants in the race, Awa Abdul Aziz dropped out of the race at the beginning of voting on Saturday and declared her support for Anane.

 

Abdul Aziz’s support could not help secure Mr. Anane’s seat.
