Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s reasons for choosing NPP

Oppong Nkrumah in an earlier interview with Citi News listed a number of reasons which informed his decision to join the NPP.

NPP Philosophy

He said at heart, he shares the party’s philosophy for solving problems. He said he totally disagrees with persons who argue that philosophy does not matter but just pragmatism.

“The philosophy informs the approach and so if I look across the political options, the NPP’s philosophy and its approach to solving problems that bedevil us is one that appeals to me and so at heart, I agree with that.”

NPP track record

His second reason was that taking a critical look at the track record of parties in government and in opposition, “I think I’m more comfortable with the NPP’s disposition towards politics.”

He remarked that the “NPP does its politics in particular way, deals with the substance of issues, deals with working to improve the quality of lives of the people and I am very comfortable in this place.”
