We are suffocated. The government is without a clearly defined, deliverable programme to alleviate our difficulties. The nation is broken and unfixable on the watch of President Mahama and his corrupt and visionless government.
The two termed NDC government has done 6 years; two more years to go, and there absolutely no demonstrable evidence of the reason they claim they sought our mandate: They call it “the better Ghana agenda”. We are worst off today. The people have lost their zeal and reduced to calamitous bystanders.
Corporate Ghana is ailing and unable to recover. The NHIS introduced by the immediate past NPP government has collapsed. The National Youth Employment Programme, an initiative of the Kufour led NPP government is riddled with corruption.
The power/energy sector is struggling which has led to the severe, unbearable and excrutiating “dumsor, dumsor” faced by the citizens; escalating the difficulties of both major industries and small businesses. The plain fact is that the country is shut down. The President is just not up to the task. He is full of words, communicates skilfully but does very little to address the massive economic and social difficulties of the people.
We must take our destinies into our own hands. We can no longer rely on the government.
Nana Addo has a vision. He sought our mandate in 2008 and 2012 and our decision was a near split. He is back again, this time with renewed vision and energy.
He wants to transform our economy, create job opportunities for the huge unemployed University graduates and an enabling environment for the Private Sector to flourish, implement his Northern Development Authority policy properl and push for the implementation of his free SHS policy which was “stolen” and announced by President Mahama as a government policy.
As we get set to elect our Parliamentary Candidates tomorrow in readiness for the “battle” ahead, it is our job as patriots to “evengelise” the people wherever they are. We must keep our focus, maintain our drive, tenacity and efficacy as we build a strong and dedicated Party in the struggle to redeem our country. I am optimistic. I know you are too. Optimism is courage, hope and believe. Pessimism is weakness and hopelessness.
The NPP; led by our indefatigable Nana Addo is will be back and our country will work again.
The battle is still the Lord’s.
