Citi Fm, Metro TV, Happy FM, and other companies on Thursday supported thousands of flood victims at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region, with various relief items and food.
The victims, who comprised of adults and children, thronged the Sahara area, where the event was held, to receive assorted items including fruit drinks, Milk, biscuits, sachet water, hand sanitizers and antiseptic products from Helping Hands Medical Outreach.
Prior to the event, residents of Adabraka were provided with free potable water for their household chores.
Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) were there to help in the distribution of the items and the residents were also given free tips on personal hygiene to help prevent the outbreak of cholera in the area.
Others who supported the project include: Fidelity Bank, Dannex Ghana Limited, Global Media Alliance, Standard Mineral Water, Far East Mercantile, Voltic Mineral Water, Forewin Ghana Limited, Kalypo, Helping Hand Medial Outreach, 2nd Imange, T.T. Brothers, The Ghana Bible Society and New Africa Foundation.
The rest are: Dzifa Ativor, Minister of Transport, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Deputy Minister of Transport, NADMO, Ghana Police Service and Adabraka Mantse Palace.
