The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital junior doctors on strike may resume work next week

They stated that efforts to get government to pay their arrears have proved futile.
However the Public Relations Officer for the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Kwame Frimpong told Citi News that the issue is close to being resolved.
“We are very hopeful that we will overcome this challenge in a day or two.”
Meanwhile, President of the Junior Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr. Akwasi Twumasi Baah Junior said the House Officers will only return to work after arrears owed them are paid.
He added that the doctors work every day from Monday to Sunday and at the end of everything, expect their salaries to be paid.
“Honest work done deserves honest pay, therefore, saying that the government has no money to pay these doctors is no excuse for this situation.”
