Airtel Business hosted several of its customers in the SME category over breakfast with presentations from senior industry analysts from Airtel and partners who imparted their knowledge on best business practices using telecommunications and ICT with the aim of empowering and helping them grow their business.

The theme of the Business Breakfast Series, “Reaching your full Business Potential with Airtel Business” is a first from Airtel and is being championed by Airtel Business, Airtel’s exclusive business focused division. It attracted over 100 business owners and decision makers across various industries in Ghana. Topics covered during the seminar included “The Power of Brand in Growing Your Business” and “Managing Human Resources.”

The series was open and informative, and provided opportunity for the cross fertilization of ideas.

“To support the development of entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies in our local marketplace, we made a decision to start this initiative,” stated Maxwell Dodd, Director, Airtel Business.

“Bringing our in-house expertise directly to our communities enables these new businesses and innovators to take advantage of a free and educational service often tailored to support their industry needs and we have been fortunate to attract so many new and innovative SMEs. Each provides invaluable trade and market perspective on the trending issues affecting the way we all do business.”

Lucy Quist Managing Director of Airtel Ghana said: “The role of a business leader isn’t an easy one, with increasing demands to reduce costs and increase efficiency whilst staying ahead of strategic issues. We know how challenging it is to put your working day aside to focus on innovation, so we’ve designed these sessions with the busy SME in mind. Over a great breakfast, we have provided some key learnings on topical issues which confront you every day.  We are thrilled to have our employees lead this series, and continue in our mission to provide an easily accessible service that supports entrepreneurs, builds business, and ultimately generates positive momentum within our economy.”

During the event, guests also had the opportunity to network one-on-one with their peers and Airtel Staff subject matter experts.

The event also included tips from Airtel Ghana, on unlocking revenue, using social media, and creating the ultimate sales and marketing machine.

This networking event comes at a time when businesses are looking for a cutting edge that will make a difference, putting them a step ahead of the competition.
