A High Court in Accra has adjourned to June 4, a case involving the Ghana AIDS Commission and former HIV/AIDS ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah.
[contextly_sidebar id=”gmX3lcHzhmLjxEu5NLrLDRHursyfxeur”]The Commission is seeking an order for the release of the medical records of the former HIV/AIDS ambassador who revealed she is not HIV positive.
The High Court presided over by Justice Mustapha Logo adjourned the case because notice on the case had not been served on Joyce Mensah early enough.
The 27-year-old mother of two had been an ambassador for the Ghana Aids Commission for years but revealed in December, 2014 that she has never been infected with the virus, despite parading as a carrier for several years.
However, the Ghana AIDS Commission has rejected this, and issued a statement insisting that medical records from 2007 show that, Joyce was HIV positive.
The Commission subsequently dragged Dzidzor Mensah to court to have the matter addressed.
