As part of activities to mark this year’s Mothers’ Day celebration, Vodafone Ghana has rewarded mothers who have remained loyal to the network with free airtime, makeover vouchers, and hundreds of devices including ‘Smart4Fun’ Phones and Huawei P6 smartphones.

The telecommunications giant also gave free airtime to birthday celebrants (mothers), and gifts to mothers of winners of a special mothers’ day social media campaign, #MomIsBae.

Commenting on the campaign, Agnes Emefa Essah, Director of Marketing at Vodafone Ghana said:

“At Vodafone, we are dedicated to celebrating customers who contribute to our success. We seek to empower and inspire all our customers and recognising mothers is our way of reaching out to them and thanking them for their loyalty on the network. ‘Motherhood – Never Felt This Good, is just one of the several ways we acknowledge and show appreciation to our customers”.

Madam Korkor-Shika Tetteh one of the beneficiary mothers who was very excited when Vodafone Ghana presented her with a Huawei P6 smartphone, said:

“I feel very lucky to be one of the many mothers to receive this special and unexpected gift from Vodafone to mark Mother’s day. Thank you Vodafone for the gesture and I am very appreciative of the fact that they made it possible for my son to win this gift for me”.

The 2014 CIMG Telecommunications Company of the Year introduced the social media campaign for subscribers to amplify their love for their mothers by taking a picture with their moms and uploading them with the hashtag -#MomIsBae.

The family that got the most likes or retweets on Vodafone Ghana’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages qualified for consolation prizes.

Vodafone Ghana was recently crowned ‘Organization with Best Social Media’ and ‘Best Twitter (Organisational)’ at the 2015 Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards, for its exciting social media campaigns and engagement.
