The Central Regional Minister Aquinas Quansah has expressed satisfaction with ongoing road projects in Awutu Senyah East and West districts in the Region.

The Paramount Chief of the Awutu Bereku Traditional area, Aboko Awotey III  however bemoaned the lack of basic amenities of his communities.

“The main road from Bawjiase to Swedru and also the SHS school at Kasoa should be built…we need a fire post because the two districts; Municipal and District Assemblies don’t have one. We need hospitals because if there is an accident, they will transfer the one from where the accident to Winneba or Accra to Korle Bu and also we are asking that government to fulfill its promise to build the interchange,” he stated.

The Minister however said the region has had its share of the national cake despite their concerns.

“Look at what is going on,When it comes to projects in the Central region, I think, Awutu East and West have had their share. Look at the roads being constructed..I did not know the place is open like that.”
