African student in Turkey have renewed calls for their leaders to invest in showcasing the continent’s rich culture to the international world.

They made the call at a three-day exhibition exercise held at Uskudar, Turkey which attracted people from all walks of life.

The exhibitors displayed African artifacts interspersed with variety of cultural entertainment including the popular Ghanaian “Jama.”

They believed that the African culture gradually was being eroded due to modernization.

“Our arts, language, food and traditional wears are almost going into oblivion.”

This, according to them underscored the need for African leaders to take every step to jealously safeguard support exhibitions that are geared towards Africa’s renaissance.

It emerged that majority of Turkish and immigrants there misconstrued Africa to mean a country and not a continent.
