The Software Engineer who was detained by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for allegedly manipulating election results in favour of one candidate during the University of Ghana’s SRC election has been released.

[contextly_sidebar id=”7OOTQffKWDPOXN3Ga6OslahpHWav9k0f”]Stephen Forson whose software was used for the election has been in BNI custody for the past two days following allegations that he masterminded the rigging of the elections.

Confirming his release to Citi News, father of Stephen Forson, George Amoah Baiden said the family will meet to decide their next line of action.

He told Citi News that “we decided to go to court and all of a sudden, one guy from the BNI called the lawyer. I asked them who the complainant is; they said they don’t want to disclose the identity of the complainant. They only said they wanted to find out if something like this has happened there.”

“They asked him [Stephen Forson] several questions, he said no, he didn’t do something like that. I think they want to destroy my sons work, he has been organizing this election for almost every institution in this country,” he fumed.
