NDK Financial Services has partnered with The Well Woman Clinic under The Trust Hospital, to create awareness on breast cancer, its detection and treatment, in this year’s Pink October.
In 2016, NDK Financial Services and The Trust Hospital screened about 1,250 women in the Breast Cancer Awareness Drive as a joint CSR initiative. This year, NDK Financial Services and The Trust Hospital are aiming to screen about 3,000 women in various communities before the end of the campaign.
The campaign seeks to contribute to the total wellness and development of its staff, customers and stakeholders.
Kuokor Ayisa’s speech at the launch reminded that “breast cancer remains one of the cancers most prevalent among women, claiming the lives of hundreds of thousands of women annually.”
“In Ghana, the story is no different as research shows that breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting females as young as 20 years. These facts tell us that in spite of all the good work is being done in fighting this disease, there is still more to be done. It is for this reason that NDK is very happy to once again join The Trust Hospital and other stakeholders in raising awareness on Breast Cancer,” she said.
She stated NDK was not we are not only interested in giving loans but also “interested in contributing to the total health and well-being of our staff, our customers and everyone our business touches.”
