Huawei Technologies Ghana Limited, has introduced onto the Ghanaian tech scene one of its newest smartphones, the Huawei G-Power.
The global tech giant has positioned the G-Power as the answer to the high usage demands of the urban Ghanaian youth.

The phone also has a feature that enables voice activated camera, which enables users to use voice commands to take photo shots.
The G-Power smart phone is a high-end device primed for multi-tasking and despite the expected heavy usage, it will also be able to save battery power for days.

Guests present at the launch were impressed by the features and abilities of the smartphone as its power-saving technology uses eight separate power-optimization approaches that enable the phone to work within idle mode for 24 hours with only 10% power remaining.
Addressing the gathering at the launch, Country Manager for Huawei Technologies Ghana Limited, Robin Sun, noted that the selling point of their newly launched device was the hi-tech power conservation and long-lasting battery performance with the potential to last for two days of heavy usage.

“With Huawei G-Power, you have long-lasting battery life to help you achieve your goals. At Huawei, we are redefining ‘smart’ to the world and bringing convenience too,” he added.
Mr. Sun further indicated that the smartphone possess a 2GB RAM capacity and a 16 ROM capacity, giving users superb speed and performance which eliminates lagging or freezing when running several applications simultaneously.
Huawei aiming to lead Ghanaian smartphone space
The Marketing Manager of Huawei Ghana, David Anku, in an interview with citfmonline.com about the future of Huawei operations in Ghana, said Ghanaian tech space should expect more innovation from his global technology firm.
“We are in the technology space, the innovation space and Huawei is the leader in innovation… In the next few years, there is a lot you are going to get from Huawei in different sectors.”
According to Mr. Anku, Huawei Ghana currently ranks as the third leading smart phone brand in Ghana and third globally, but the number one spot is their target in the next few years.
“We are ranking third and fourth in the major shops; Generally, that is where we are at the moment, but I can bet that come the next few years, we are going to be the number one smart phone company in Ghana. We are currently the number three smart phone brand globally.”
