Immediate past president of Rotary Club of Accra North Sowah Tettehfio said “we thought it proper to raise some funds and donate to a reputable institution, who we believe will target the right victims who need help”. He further promised that the club will do its best to raise more funds to help other victims of the June 3 disaster.
Meanwhile, the News Editor at Citi FM, Richard Mensah who received the items on behalf of the station commended the two groups for their thoughtfulness.
He promised that the money will be used for the intended purpose and ensure the victims are cushioned.
The Citi-Metro Campaign is a project jointly being executed by Citi FM and Metro TV.
The first campaign was held at the Odawna Sahara area at Adabraka where the residents were supplied with potable water, food items, and toiletries.
Subsequent donations have been made to affected victims of Osu and other parts of Adabraka.
