The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, K. T. Hammond says indiscipline is the cause of the recurrent problems within the New Patriotic Party, after disagreements over party funds sparked a new row.
According to K.T. Hammond, the NPP can only win the 2016 elections if founders and party elders step up to help calm the seeming tension and factionalism within the party.

The two have since denied the allegations describing them as attempts by some persons to tarnish their reputation.
But speaking to Citi News, Mr. Hammond stated that bickering is not known within the NPP and that those provoking the troubles must be called to order.
“…There are people who have invested their lives, people have high stakes in this party, and it is not good for any group of elected officers to hold the party to ransom the way it seems to be happening now ….you can’t really point accusing fingers at one person,… I’ll call it absolute indiscipline, I have no doubt in my mind about it,” he said.
Meanwhile flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo has assured party supporters that the leadership of the party will work to end the current troubles within the party soon. Nana Addo was speaking in the Volta region as part of the rise and build tour.
