Swansea and Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says he is ready to be deployed in any role for the club in the coming Barclays Premier League.
Ayew and his team-mates have been preparing for the new season in their training camp in Germany and the former Marseille man has stated that he is willing to make his skills available for the good of the team. ”
Concerning where I will be used, I believe that is for the manager (Garry Monk) to answer. I am someone who loves to play football and I like to enjoy the game.
I always want to be on the field and play as much as possible. What is important for me is to be on the field and help the team.
So, wherever the coach will need me, I will be willing to help us get results,” said Ayew to Swansea’s website in an interview.
Ayew joined Swansea from Marseille on a free transfer in June and he says his new colleagues have been very helpful in how he has settled in.
“Everything has gone on well with me so far. The guys have helped me get into the group and I thank them all for the warm welcome. People like Bafe (Gomis), the captain (Ashley Williams, Nathan (Dyer) and Jonjo (Shelvey) have been very nice to me. I thank them for their support and I hope things will remain as positive as they are. I have also appreciated pre-season training because it is an important way of getting to know the players here. I knew a lot of them from watching the team in the past but now, I must get to know them personally and how the team plays.”
Swansea will play away to Chelsea on the first day of the Barclays Premier League on the 8th of August, 2015.
