The Kwame Nkrumah Circle which is being converted into a huge overpass, seems to be nearing completion.
It is expected to carry about 84,000 vehicles a day and link the major road network that connects the sub-urban areas of Accra to the central business district.
Government and the Brazilian government are jointly financing the ultra-modern interchange project to ease vehicular traffic congestion in the area.
The project was started in 2013 and is expected to be completed before the end of 2015.
It is estimated that the country will save up to about $25 million annually as the project is expected to fuel productivity.
The project cost 74.88 million euro.
