A 25-acre land has been handed over to contractors for the commencement of work on the Community Day Senior High School in Adaklu.
[contextly_sidebar id=”TlOdSaflDKQOHTcq0lqZuZfahITFUwXk”]The project is one of the World Bank’s sponsored projects under construction in some parts of the country.
It is expected to provide access to Senior High Schools for basic school graduates in the district and also increase the literacy level among the people.
Speaking at the ceremony the Deputy Minister of Education in-charge of Tertiary Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the facility is to be scheduled completed within fifteen months.
The project would among other things include an Headmaster’s Bungalow, School Canteen as well as a mechanized borehole.
‘’It is out of a scientific consideration that we are doing the project here; we have assessed the number of basic schools here, we have assessed the total pollution here as well the number of secondary schools in the catchment were considered before awarding the project to Adaklu’’ he said.
The GH¢ 11 million project was awarded to two contractors; Macoby Co Ltd and Sarbah Ltd.
The Chiefs and people of Adaklu have expressed gratitude for the gesture and pleaded with government to complete the work on time.
