The Kasoa District Magistrate Court has sentenced a 28-year-old electrician to 12 months imprisonment for unlawful entry, stealing a power generator and a wheelbarrow.
The convict, Kobina Duodu stole the items at Adam Nana, a community in Awutu-Senya East Municipality.

Prosecuting, Detective Police Chief Inspector Abdulai Mohammed told the court presided over by Frank Oppong that the complainant is a taxi driver who works within Awutu-Senya East Municipality while the convict is an electrician residing at Kasoa.
At about 0400 hours on June 19, Kobina Duodu hired the services of the taxi driver to convey his goods from Adam Nana to Kasoa Old Market.
On their way to the Kasoa Old Market, the convict asked the driver to stop at a nearby bush where he entered and later merged with one power generator and a wheelbarrow.
The driver then became suspicious and drove Kobina Duodu together with his goods to the police station.
During interrogation by the Police the convict admitted stealing the items.
