An Accra Magistrate Court has ordered the removal of the two Nigerians on trial for allegedly hijacking an oil vessel from their current cell to a new one.
The order was made after lawyer for the suspects claimed that his clients were being kept in a cell which he described as inhabitable.

Ghanaian Security Services say the pirates managed to transfer the ship’s cargo into another vessel before their arrest.
The vessel, MV Mariam, was carrying about 1,500 tonnes of crude oil at the time it was hijacked.
The pirates reportedly turned the vessel around and entered the territorial waters of Ghana but a tracking device on the vessel enabled the owner to track it down.
The case has been adjourned to the 25th of April.
The judge, justice Efua Sackey has also ordered the BNI to immediately move the two accused to a new cell.
