The woman busted at the Heathrow Airport for carrying cocaine into the United Kingdom (UK) will reappear before a London court on Tuesday.
Ruby Appiah, alias Nayele Ametefeh was scheduled to reappear before the Isleworth Crown Court on Monday January 5, 2015 but Citi News has gathered that the case has been adjourned to Tuesday January 6.
Ms Ametefe first appeared before the court via video link on November 27, 2014 for a preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against her.
The case was adjourned to give the court more to time to look at the forensic analysis of the cocaine to determine exactly how much she smuggled into the UK and the street value before she is sentenced.
During the hearing, the prosecutor revealed that Ms. Ametefeh told border patrol officers she was in the country (UK) “for shopping.”

The prosecution, led by Ravinder John said Ms. Ametefeh is likely to get a minimum of 10 years but if the substance is in excess of 10kg she may serve more years in jail.
Ametefeh’s arrest and subsequent trial have generated huge controversy in Ghana.
Some persons allegedly connected to the case were arrested in Ghana while others are standing trial.
The Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) also came under intense criticism for failing to prevent the drugs from leaving the shores of the country even though it claimed it collaborated with the British government on this bust.
