The Volta Regional Minister, Helen Adjoa Ntoso has said she is prepared to dedicate special prayers for persons she said are “peddling falsehood” about government, despite evidence of massive development in the region.
[contextly_sidebar id=”2D5QYtRNRUR4mfo97rMs0fs77Q2jnEJL”]“If you are here, you see it and you hear it and you pretend that you don’t see, you don’t hear, I will ask the Holy Spirit to deliver you wherever you are,” she taunted.
She indicated that contrary to rumors that the government had ignored the people of the Volta Region, the region has witnessed massive infrastructural development under the leadership of President John Mahama.
According to her, anybody who deliberately ignores the ongoing developmental projects in the region will receive “special deliverance prayers” from her.
In 2014, some residents in the region demonstrated against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for sideling the region in developmental projects despite the massive support the party receives from them.
The Regional Minister in response said the claims by the residents were untrue and urged Ghanaians to ignore such reports.
She argued that the NDC government appreciates the support it has received from the Volta Regionf.
Addressing residents of the Keta Municipal assembly at their maiden town hall meeting, Helen Ntoso promised that the government will continue to address the needs of the people of the region.
She claimed that there are “Judases among us. They know, they see, they hear, but they pretend as if nothing is happening.”
According to her, communication is “very, very important” if any government hopes to succeed, therefore, the NDC government will intensify its communication with citizens, especially with the residents of the Volta Region on all projects and policies it has put in place to make life comfortable for them.
“When there is a communication gap, then the people themselves will say that nothing is happening,” she remarked.
