The Executive Secretary of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Akrasi Sarpong has told Citi News that the decision to invite former Nkoranza North MP, Eric Amoateng for further interrogation is part of the routine for such cases.
Mr. Amoateng was taken away immediately he landed at the Kotoka International Airport by NACOB officials for interrogation.
Some of his supporters claim that the arrest of the former MP by NACOB is a witch-hunting exercise.
However, the Executive Secretary of NACOB has categorically denied the assertions, insisting his debriefing session was just normal exercise conducted everywhere for ex-convicts.
Eric Amoateng was arrested in December 2005 in the United States of America for the possession of heroin and was handed a 10 year jail sentence.
