Officials of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) have visited areas in the Northern Region that were affected by rainstorm on March 20, 2014.
Heavy rains, which lasted for several hours submerged parts of the Tamale metropolis and the Savelugu Municipality.
Northern Regional Coordinator of NADMO, Alhaji Abdulai Silimboma told Citi News his officers were on the ground assessing the situation to prescribe possible solutions.
“NADMO officers are on the ground for assessment to come out with the final details of it and the amount of damage properties like ripped off houses and other things.”
He could not confirm if government properties were destroyed and said that could be determined by the outcome of the assessment.
