The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources says the evaluation report on the work of the inter-ministerial task force will be made public after it is officially presented to President John Mahama.
It follows demands by a civil society group, Artisanal and Small scale Mining-Africa Network for transparency in the assessment of the first phase of the operations of the task force conducted last year.
The second phase of the operations of the task force is expected to commence soon.
Speaking to Citi Business News the minister for Lands and Natural Resources Inusah Fuseini said the report is expected to be presented to the president soon after a review by the ministry.
“The report is a public document, even though it is yet to be released, it will obviously be made public for scrutiny and further action” he said.
