Defending champions Asante Kotoko suffered their second home loss in recent weeks as they were beaten by a lone goal by Heart of Lions.
A penalty from Hudu Yakubu in the 62nd minute gave the away side the win after they drew their last league match with Inter Allies.
Kotoko’s last home loss was the Derby loss to King Faisal in the 19th week.
Inter Allies themselves were also winners after beating Berekum Chelsea for the second straight time in three days by three goals to two in Tema.
The home side won their MTN FA Cup tie on Sunday but they fell behind to a Bennet Ofori goal in the 13th minute.
They drew level through Sadat Karim two minutes later and went ahead with a strike from Talla N’Diaye later in the first half. N’Diaye scored his second of the game to give Allies the win despite a late goal from Benjamin Boateng.

Odupong Wellington scored for the Phobians in the 54th minute to make it 1-0 and they went further ahead in the 74th minute through Paul Acquah.
They, however, had to hold on after the Miners found a goal back via an Emmanuel Osei penalty in the 84th minute.
Hasaacas beat Bechem United 2-0 at the Essipong Stadium despite Richard Yamoah’s inability to out away a 30th minute penalty.
They found the breakthrough in the 46th minute when Joseph Mugre scored. Yamoah got a second penalty and he was successful at the second attempt in the 80th minute.
Aduana Stars maintained their unbeaten run against King Faisal with a 1-0 win in Dormaa.
Emmanuel Akuoku scored in first half injury time for the home side to clinch victory on the day.
