Educate students on implications of occultism – Chief

students (5)The Chief of Agona Asafo, Nana Nyanfu Esuako XI, has urged Guidance and Counseling Institutions in the country to periodically organize seminars and forums to counsel the youth on the implication of practicing Occultism.

Nana Esuako said this at a forum organized by level 400 practicum II Group I Students of Counselors and Psychology of the Department of Education of University Education, Winneba (UEW) for students of the Swedru Senior High School.

The students were sensitized and counseled on the negative implications of Occult practices.

It was on the topic: “The Practice of Occultism in Schools, its implications to the life’s of students”.

The Chief said the youth are the future work force of the country and should pay to their education and urged them to desist from indulging in occult practices for it will not help them.

In a presentation, the group suggested to students to seek counseling from the appropriate quarters and avoid associating with friends, who can mislead them.

He urged the students to join Science and Mathematics and Debating clubs to improve their knowledge.

Mr Barnabas K. Adofo chairman of the group said occultism practice has badly affected some youth, adding that some have become armed robbers, prostitution.
