As the 2017 Christmas holiday season approaches, Heritage Bank Limited has highlighted a number of specialized services and complementary giveaways aimed at delighting customers and giving them a Christmas to remember.

The Christmas package comprises a suite of services which seek to provide convenience to customers during the Season of Giving; it allows customers to buy the things they desire now, and spread the payments conveniently over a flexible payment plan, receive cash from loved ones anywhere in the world and send or receive cash domestically using their mobile phones.

The various banking services within the package come with special discounts, freebies and other gifts.

The Christmas package hinges on 3 services that are particularly relevant to customers during the activity-packed holiday season, namely: Consumer Asset Finance Loans, Personal Loans and Remittance Services.

From 4th December till 31st January, customers of the Bank will enjoy attractive discounts on all purchases made via the bank’s consumer asset finance scheme.

The scheme allows customers of the bank to buy consumer products including office and home furniture, home appliances such as Fridges, Stoves, Microwaves, Pressing Irons etc., electronic gadgets (TV sets, Home Theatre sets, Sound systems etc.) personal computers, smartphones and more, from an array of merchant partners, and pay in convenient instalments over a period of twelve months with no processing fees or charges.

Partners for the Asset Finance Scheme include Lifestyle Gallery, LG Electronics, iPlace, Electroland Ghana Limited, Can-West Limited among others.

Customers, who apply for personal loans within the period, also enjoy 50% discount on all facility fees for personal loans, while patrons of the Bank’s Western Union, RIA and MoneyGram money transfer servicesl, will each receive a special gift on receiving their remittance via any Heritage Bank branch.

This initiative is the Bank’s way of showing appreciation to its customers in the spirit of the Christmas season.

Commenting on the Christmas package, Mark Achiampong, General Manager for Retail Banking, explained that beyond appreciating customers for their patronage and support, the Bank has taken time to find out customers’ habits and preferences during the holiday season, in order to give them the most enjoyable Christmas banking experience.

Consequent to this, the Bank crafted the Christmas Package in line with the Ghanaian tradition of giving and sharing during the season.

GM, Retail Banking, Mark Achiampong.

The package would ensure that customers of the Bank enjoy stress-free transactions, allowing them to spend quality time with friends and family.

Speaking about the bank’s Christmas offer, Managing Director, Patrick Fiscian, also remarked, “Our objective is to delight our customers with this giveaway package while providing them with our convenient services to make transactions and purchases during the period as effortless as possible, thereby freeing time to enjoy their holidays with family, friends and loved ones. We have thus made available these easy, efficient and secure services to save you time and effort so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday to the maximum.”

He emphasised that in this regard, the bank’s USSD Mobile Banking service comes in very handy as it enables customers to carry out fast transactions simply by dialling the short-code *713*818# on their mobile phones.

The mobile banking service doesn’t require internet, and is compatible with any mobile gadget, thus customers can check account balances, buy credits, pay bills, transfer money instantly to other domestic banks or between their bank account and mobile money wallets.

Heritage Bank Limited is on a quest to cement its status as the most convenient and customer-friendly banking institution in Ghana.

The Bank which began business operations after its official launch in February 2017, has since opened six Branches in East Legon, Abossey Okai, Dzorwulu and Airport City in Accra as well as Adum and Suame-Magazine in Kumasi.

Demba Ba has completed his move from Chelsea to Besiktas, the Turkish club and player have confirmed.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge from Newcastle United in January 2013, the Senegal international has scored 14 goals in 51 games for the Blues.

The 29-year-old soon fell behind Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o in the pecking order, however, and the arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this summer has freed him to look for a new club.

Besiktas confirmed the move on with a statement on their website before Ba followed suit via his official Twitter page.
“I feel so happy because Besiktas fans interest me a lot and the construction of the new stadium impressed me,” Ba added. “I’m so excited to play for this club.

“I really want to play. I want to show my potential to everybody quickly.

“Besiktas is a big club and I want to be a part of this. The fans were  very warm to me when I arrived here. I hope our close relationship will go on.”

Eto’o has since left the club, while the future of Romelu Lukaku continues to be speculated upon after two season-long loan deals.

The Belgium international, who scored one goal at the World Cup, insists he will not settle for irregular first-team football this season and is open to leaving Chelsea permanently.
