He said they will provide loans to private sector at a relatively cheaper rate to help expand their operations.
Mr. Patrick Fiscian said the Bank is focused on providing high level convenient service.
“Convenience, we believe is the key to success. Convenience gives you the customer, the time, space and freedom to explore, to grow your business and to achieve your goals; we believe that once you partner with us, it’s possible to achieve your goals.”
He further urged inhabitants of Kumasi, particularly those in the Suame-Magazine area, to “troop to Heritage Bank and experience a world of possibilities with bespoke service and ultra-convenient banking at its best.
The Head of Licensing Unit of the Bank of Ghana, Emmanuel Agyen Boakye, who witnessed the opening, revealed plans by the Central Bank to organize programmes to complement measures already in place to control the increased risks associated with the use of Information Technology Systems in the Banking Industry.
Outlining the risks involved in the use of IT by financial institutions, Mr. Emmanuel Agyen Boakye said there was a need to “further mitigate the risks arising from IT.”
“The Bank of Ghana has initiated action towards the introduction of IT security guidelines for the banking sector. This will convey minimum IT security standards to supervise institutions and ensure that the entire Industry is up to speed with development on IT security forms.”
“It is because of these challenges, BOG scaled up their IT security infrastructure to ward off these risks, and these include regular review and update of existing IT infrastructure, installation of stronger firewalls, external reviews of systems by IT experts, acquisition of IOS certification of systems among others.”
Heritage Bank offers Personal, Private, SME and Corporate Banking services, and is slated to roll out technological industry firsts to ensure customers’ needs are met in a way that conforms to the growing digitized world.
The Bank as part of its proposition to make life more convenient for customers, offers extended banking hours from 8:30am till 6:00pm. The Bank consists of a team of highly experienced professionals, who have a strong backing of industry giants in the form of their Board of Directors.
