The Tema Police Command has impounded 161 motor bikes within the Tema Ashaiman Metropolis as part of efforts to reduce criminal activities within the area.
According to the Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mrs Beatrice Zakpaa Vib-Sanziri, “most of the serious cases recorded in the country lately were committed by criminals who use motorbikes when embarking on their criminal activity.”
She revealed that out of the 161 motor bikes that were impounded, 140 were unregistered while the remaining 21 were unregistered.
“The Tema Regional Command assures that the operation is going to be sustained and will not be a nigh day wonder,” she stated.
