The Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa) and PR Personality of the year 2013, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah has organized the first SHARE event, a session which challenged young women in the media to achieve exceptional heights in their profession.

The SHARE initiative of Stratcomm Africa provides a platform for young women to share ideas, bond and have fun whilst being empowered to overcome limitations and thrive in their profession.  Twenty five young women in the media participated in the event which was held on Friday, 13th March, 2015 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah shared her challenges and experiences in the communications industry with the young women and advised them to rise above any limitations based on social prejudices and expand their horizon.  She added that “We women must be the designers of the social environment that enables us to shine”.

General Manager of Stratcomm Africa, Ms. Gillian Baaba Heathcote noted that “Young women, especially in the media, have a lot of potentials that should be fully harnessed for the benefit of society”.

She explained that Stratcomm Africa is committed to developing people and this includes women.  “This initiative provides the opportunity to give insights and encouragement to young women professionals to develop their skills and have a positive attitude towards their professional development.” she said.

Subsequent SHARE sessions will be organized for other young women.  Consistent with Stratcomm Africa’s commitment to excellence, the organisation aims at using the SHARE initiative to empower and inspire young women to shine and be a positive influence everywhere they find themselves.

It is also aimed at encouraging young women to make the right choices in their lives and not be constrained by social prejudices.

This event has been organized by Stratcomm Africa in recognition of the celebration of International Women’s Day all over the world.
