The Ministry of Trade and Industry has announced the dissolution of the Board of Directors of the Ayensu Starch Company (ASCO) with immediate effect.
A release signed by Mr Dawarnoba Baeka, Acting Chief Director of the Ministry said the dissolution had been necessitated by the need to give directives and take proactive decisions to make the factory viable, profitable and sustainable; to enable government to attract a strategic partner to invest in the company.
The statement said a new Board of Directors will be put in place shortly.
