President of Policy Think Tank IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe is calling on President John Mahama to dismiss the Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) for overseeing the siphoning of over GH¢1 million from the account of the institution.

[contextly_sidebar id=”T8doJZUXD2wC5BO8yBVRnGwIGQWctYOo”]“I want President Mahama to fire the current CEO of MASLOC, and organize an audit into the affairs of MASLOC,” he insisted.

Over GHC1 million was allegedly siphoned by the acting Director Of Operations for the centre, Kwaku Boadi, who is said to have forged 102  non-existing  companies and diverted the cash.

Management later MASLOC assured that the employee involved will be dealt with accordingly.

The Deputy CEO of MASLOC, Mustapha Abubakar in an earlier interview with Citi News said “the monies are being paid by the culprits. It is left with an outstanding balance of GH¢346,000 to be paid. We will recover the money, beyond that we are sending the docket to Attorney General to recover the monies involved.”

Speaking on Citi FM News analysis programme, The Big Issue, Franklin Cudjoe further suggested that the President should sack the executives of MASLOC to ensure sanity prevails in the affairs of MASLOC.

“If a member of management signs a check to the husband and is treated as misdemeanor and she is asked to pay the money without being jailed, that is fine and we sit again and another member of management signs hundreds of check close to $35000 and you say what? Fire the entire MASLOC executives,” he added.
