Students of St Paul’s Senior High School are to sign a bond of good behavior as part of measures to avert future occurrence of indiscipline in the school.

In an interview with Citi News, the Deputy Volta Regional Director of Education, Mr. Dickson Ogordor said although parents were initially not in support of the decision for fear that the bond may tarnish the records of their wards, they eventually bought into the idea.
“The students would be asked to sign the bond of good behavior upon their arrival and this would be witnessed by their parents.”
Pending approval from the Regional Director of Education, students would be made to pay a levy of 90 Ghana cedis as the cost of damage destroyed by the riot.
The school authorities have also assured the parents that recommendations from the committee of enquiry set up the Municipal Security Council would as well be implemented accordingly.
Meanwhile the students are expected back to school next week.
The final year visual arts students are to arrive on the February 23, followed by the remaining final year students on the February 25.
First and second year students are to report on February 27, 2015.
The students in their attempts to lynch two suspected gay students caught in the act staged a protest against school authorities that they accused of condoning the act. This sparked a riot leading to the death of a student with others injured.
