Ghanaian musician, Mzbel has revealed she does not believe in the existence of Jesus Christ.

Born as Belinda Ekua Amoah, the singer who was speaking on a TV talk show, Restoration hosted by Stacy Amoateng over the weekend said she was confident stories about the ‘holy son of God’ were made up.

Stacy asked her, “Do you believe in Jesus Christ?”

Mzbel: “Wow! I don’t want to offend anybody. I used to believe in it but errmm, I did my own research and I think it was made up, I think it was made up. I might be wrong but according to my own research, I think it was made up because the same story 5000 years ago happened in Egypt where they have Horus. Horus’ mother was a virgin, where before Horus was born an angel came and said dadada…to Horus mother, Horus did miracles at the age of 12, he had disciples.”

Stacy: “Do you believe in the Old Testament?”

Mzbel: “I do, yes.”

Stacy: “You know the birth of Jesus Christ was prophesied in the book of Isaiah?”

Mzbel: “It says the Messiah. It did not say Jesus Christ”

Stacy: “And Jesus Christ is the Messiah.”

Mzbel: “How do you know, that’s why I said I did my own research and the story of Jesus Christ has happened before 5000 years ago, the story of Jesus Christ only 2000 years ago. You know so….”

Mzbel continued, “I used to believe in it, I pray in tongues, I can pray in tongues right now. I actually prayed in my room one time until my room was filled with smoke and I called my pastor and said ei!, there are witches in my room. I am praying and I see smoke and he said the presence of God is in your room. But now trust me, I will not believe in it anymore.”
