The Ghana Evangelical Society has said that God has revealed to precipitate more rain into the Akosombo Dam to relieve Ghana from its power challenges.

The Volta River Authority has shut down some of its turbines which generates power as a result of inadequate water supply into the Akosombo Dam.

They claim the revelation was made through the leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society, Rev. Prof. Enoch Immanuel Amanor Agbozo.

Ghanaians have been complaining about the inconsistent power supply in the country which has compelled the Electricity Company of Ghana to start an unreliable load shedding exercise.

Other power plants that have been brought on board to mitigate the power crisis have also not also yielded the needed results.

According to the Evangelical Society, God is doing this to make Ghanaians have faith in him, adding that God who has been “seeing and hearing the unceasing agonizing cry of Ghanaians… is doing this mainly for the sake of the large population of poor, weak and needy people of the country, and the ordinary citizens of the land who constitute over 70% of the population lest they lose confidence, trust and faith in Him as God and perish.”

The statement also said Ghana has entered “the Promised Land as a chosen nation and people of God’s inheritance and Destined Glory in the Kingdom of God in Africa and the world.”

The Evangelical Society further declared that “Ghana will witness a non-interrupted Divine Grace for a  period of 30-years beginning 2015-2045.
