Prospective drivers, according to the Daily Graphic, have not been issued their drivers’ licenses since mid-2014 because some printing machines at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) have broken down.

The Chief Executive Officer of DVLA, Rudolph Beckley was on the Citi Breakfast Show to respond to the publication by Daily Graphic.

He denied media reports that the Authority’s printing machines have broken down since June 2014, creating a backlog of about 23,000 unprinted licenses.
