A group calling itself the concerned staff of Korle Bu has called off their intended demonstration slated for February 16.
[contextly_sidebar id=”dgLYVCgrCdYFiTTSGA5jwfYYiWMKdVxU”]The group numbering over 500 accused the central management of the hospital and the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association of conniving to deduct certain unapproved fees from their salaries since September 2014.
Speaking to Citi News, the leader of the group, Dodam Kolan Kennedy said a meeting with the management of the hospital had resolved some of their grievances.
He stated that the two parties have drafted a road map to fully address their concerns.
“We met management yesterday and they have assured us that the deductions will stop by the end of February and they have also affirmed they will collaborate with us to ensure that the right thing is done,” he stated.
The concerns of the concerned staff were rebutted by the President of the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association, Charles Offei Palm who had early on told Citi News, the deductions were mistakenly made, adding that, the association had made moves to rectify the error.
