MaameYaa Boafo is a Ghanaian actress currently based in New York.

Growing up in Pakistan, Sudan, Kenya, Switzerland and Ethiopia, her upbringing has made her an artist with a heart for culture, travel, and humanity.

She was an active advocate and speaker at the “Bring Back Our Girls” rally in New York.

Ms. Boafo is also known for her starring role in the international hit web series, “An African City” as the character Nana Yaa.

Why you should listen to her talk?

Living overseas enhances how proud I am to be an African.

Representing my country and my Ashanti tribe is important to me. My experiences have usually singled me out as one of the few, or the only African.

I AM a part of Ghana’s Generation Next and I look forward to sharing how I represent that in my work.

Quote from MaameYaa: Soli Deo Gloria
