Volta regional Minister Helen Adjoa Ntosu has called for the need to re-train Police officers in the region on crowd management to avoid a repetition of the St. Pauls Senior High School (SHS) shooting incident.

Speaking in an interview with Citi News the Volta Regional Minister insisted that even though the incident does not threaten the security in the area the Police must be reminded of the rules of engagement.

She noted that during the St. Paul’s incident, the students were harmless hence the police shouldn’t have gone there “with live ammunition but with rubber bullets or water cannons.”

“That’s the reason why we are really worried that the officers went there with live ammunition. There is a need to remind them that in such situations they have to be careful,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Police have arrested three of its officers who were allegedly involved in the shooting incident.
