Surfline has restored partial services to its customers.

This means Surfline customers can now access the internet to some extent.

The development follows the re-establishment of partial network connectivity by engineers of the company.

However due to the ongoing evaluation by the engineers subscribers will experience intermittent connection which will not be charged by the company.

Fire gutted Surfline’s data center last Saturday leading to a blackout of majority of its 4GLTE devices.

Customers have since the inferno been unable to check or recharge their account.

The company has since promised compensation at the point of full service restoration.

‘’We were able to establish some partial network connectivity Last night and some hours of this morning we were able to open the network up to our customers as part of our initial testing program so most of our customers were able to access the network for some period’’

Head of Brands Communication at Surfline, Edwin Amoako told Citi Business News.

According to him, they will use the feedback from the initial testing and fine-tune the network to bring it up to speed with optimal performance.

Meanwhile, Surfline has announced a compensation for its customers once the full service is in place.

‘’We have compensation in the form of a complementary data plan for our customers and this will all be announced as soon as the network is up but we do not want our customers to lose out on anything they were enjoying before the misfortune happened’’.
