The General Secretary in charge of Communications at the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saane Daara, has said that the visit of Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah, to Liverpool would help Ghana’s course at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Appiah and his assistants went to England last weekend to as part of their preparations for the World Cup and they were scheduled to visit Liverpool Football Club as well as the English Football Centre at St.George’s and according to Saane Daara, the lessons learned would help the team in Brazil.

“What Ghanaians should expect from the trip is that the technical team will come back with fresh ideas.

They have been speaking with the coaches at Liverpool and they will pick up things that will help the team.

They have been to St. George’s to see what goes there and they will come back with a detailed report and recommendations on what we should do,’’ he said on Citi FM‘s midweek sports programme, “Half Time” on Wednesday.

Coach Kwesi Appiah would watch the Liverpool vs Sunderland match at Anfield as part of the visit.

Saane Daara also indicated that Coach Kwesi Appiah would visit some of the Black Stars players in Europe to check on their progress in their European clubs.
