AFCON 2015: Kwesi Appiah, Boye handed first starts against Guinea

Coach Avram Grant has handed Kwesi Appiah his first Ghana start in the lineup to face Guinea in the AFCON quarter-finals match on Sunday.

[contextly_sidebar id=”Op460GiQpFpwHbT2fjyhTMmKhdEcivvZ”]Appiah who made his Ghana debut in the final group match against South Africa will partner captain Asamoah Gyan in attack for the Black Stars.

John Boye will also start the game at the heart of defence alongside Jonathan Mensah with Baba Rahman and Harrison Afful playing at left back and right back respectively.

Coach Grant however maintained the the central midfield duo of Mubarak Wakaso and Afriyie Afriyie Acquah with Andre Ayew and Christian Atsu on the flanks.

The game which will be played at the Estadio de Malabo at 4pm GMT.
