The much anticipated HFC Bank Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled for Tuesday January 27, has been postponed at the last minute.
According to a press statement from the bank, a motion for stay of execution has been filed, compelling the bank to postpone the meeting.
This is the second time the EGM has been postponed after the originally scheduled January 20 date was also suspended due to a pending suit.
An Accra High Court earlier directed for the EGM to be organized tomorrow after 2 shareholders attempted to secure an injunction on the process.
The Director of African operations of Republic Bank Limited, Robert le Hunte in an exclusive interview with Citi Business News said the earlier judgment sanctioning the EGM for January 27 was a victory for the shareholders of HFC Bank.
