One of the world’s leading suppliers of marine equipment and services Fendercare Marine has commenced operations in Ghana.

The company formally opened its Ghana office in Accra last week and will offer support to the marine and oil and gas industries in the country.

With many years of experience in a wide range of specialisations, the company is uniquely placed to provide effective solutions for any business involved in ships or the sea.

A member of James Fisher & Sons plc, the UK’s leading marine service company, Fendercare Marine leverage extensive capabilities of other Group companies to provide complete solutions that create superior value for its customers in the global marine sector.

Fendercare serves four principal markets including commercial marine, offshore energy, renewals and Naval.

The commercial marine aspect includes ship builders, owners and operators, port construction and management.

While offshore energy include equipment and services for rigs, pipelines, shore facilities and support vessels.

Naval services include jetty, berthing and shipboard solutions for the world’s navies.

Fendercare Marine’s operations in Ghana will be a joint-venture between it and Ghanaian company Bayfield Oil Services.

According to the Managing Director of Bayfield Oil Services and Fendercare Marine Ghana Phillip Yebesi, though the joint-venture is relatively new, it has a good track record in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
