The Greater Accra branch of the Ghana Police service made GH¢139, 010 within two days from prosecuting owners of unregistered vehicles.

The information was contained in a press release copied to citifmonline.com.
According to the press release, about 48 DV/DP plated vehicles were interecepted in Madina, 39 in Kpeshie, 33 in Accra Central and 32 in Kaneshie.
The highest number of arrest was made at Tesana with 72, Dansoman 36, Ministries 25 and Nima 47.
In a related development, The Accra Regional Police command as of January 5, 2015 impounded 476 DV plated vehicles.
The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohunu told Citi News the Police undertook the operation after they realized that some persons were misusing the DP and DV number plates.
