The Commissioner for the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Ms Lauretta Lamptey has disclosed that the corruption allegations in the petitions presented has been dismissed.

She made this disclosure during an interview at the Citi breakfast show.

“Nothing on those headings board on corruption because if somebody said received $4500, I would agree with him but he didn’t have that heading in his petition and in any case it can easily be refuted because it has nothing that come close to corruption”

Ms Lamptey therefore accused her petitioners of not doing the “honorable thing” adding, “the petitioners did not do what I would say would have been the honorable thing which is to say we have been communicated to and told that our allegations have no bases.”

The suspended CHRAJ boss criticized the media’s reportage on the issues surrounding the petition case describing it as “unfair to her”

“The media has failed to report on the fact that the two petitions were being dismissed. And the reportage still stays the same instead of highlighting it was just vindication but not an allegation,” she added.

“And particular sense with the two petitions been dismissed because neither I nor CHRAJ did not come out to and say this is a vindication and there is no allegation and it actually stayed. People actually think that all of those allegations are still the subject of the entire petitions and have not realized that they have been dismissed, “she said.

Reacting to claims of her alleged six months absence, she disclosed that it was all in a documented memo which was presented to the auditors

“Of the six months, three months of them were leave and it was a documented leave. What the auditors also were presented with was my personal filed showed that even when am away for a half day I write a memo indicating I will be coming in half day and am very meticulous about it,” she disclosed.

The CHRAJ boss was suspended by President John Mahama following an advice by the judicial council.
